In the framework of our #GreenTrade Program, we @TradeMarkAfrica 🇧🇮 have partnered with @KAGEadvisory and worked with women's groups/associations (involved in small scale trade) to unpack what climate resilience & sustainability entail in the rural #Burundi context.

And we provide practical recommendations on how to achieve this balance. 📝💡

So, while Burundi faces a long road ahead, their renewables drive inspires.
If Burundi, a small landlocked country, can progress, what could be possible with the world's help?
The potential seems brighter every day.
You wouldn't expect one of the countries recovering from conflict to become a frontrunner on clean energy.
But Burundi is doing just that. While significant challenges remain, the country's renewable policies set an example for kickstarting clean energy even with limited means.
But clean power saves money while creating local jobs.
Other African states can learn from their renewable roadmap of precise planning, partnerships, and regional collaboration.
No matter the limited resources, a green future is possible with willpower!
@KagEconomy is at the forefront of sustainable cooking alternatives while fighting deforestation with our Kabiof Makara charcoal briquettes and others.
The window for action is narrow; we need to start now!
#energy#GreenEnergy
According to the International Renewable Energy Agency, solar and wind could deliver 90% of the emission cuts needed to hit net zero by 2050.
Green energy jobs are also estimated to balloon to over 42 million globally that year.
Of course, like any worthwhile project, the path to renewable energy has some bumps.
We all have a role to play.
We can pressure leaders to enact renewable energy policies, choose clean power sources for our lives, and support the next generation of sustainable solutions.
