"..that while we have each other, we all could afford to love each other even more. Because the truth is, no one is ours forever. And not only that, but no one is even ours..."
This is how the mind of the average Kenyan works. What if I exploit this good thing that serves everyone, for my own selfish interests? And then the good things get taken away and then we say CORRUPTION IS KILLING US!
What's the use of hugging trees just to go praise the person cutting them?
Do Kenyans know that you can meet a president and not sing his praises? Did Wangari Maathai teach us nothing?
The Israelis are invading Gaza city, which is officially in a stage 5 famine. They are killing a destitute and starving population. Do you understand what is happening here?
My last hot take before I rest today, is that your husband or boyfriend doing chores or cleaning up after himself is not ‘assisting’ you. A father isn’t ‘helping you’ to cater to his own kids. That’s his job.
Words matter a lot, change the way you frame certain things.
This thing of being responsible to feed myself every single day seems a bit much, and doesn't sit well with me. Twice a week, fine. Every single day? Overkill
Nyama Choma, Sukuma Wiki, Ugali & Kachumbari. Kenya’s national dish & iconic flavors wrapped into sushi rolls alongside avocado delivering all the colors of the 🇰🇪 flag in one bite.
A handshake of cultures and fusion of broad based flavors. Kenya’s ingenuity, Japanese precision!
@Chiira If it was moralising, he'd have endorsed it as fact. I think it would be disingenuous to say we never, ever have moments of wondering what the point is. We're human and it happens. And that's where solidarity comes in, for us to remind each other what the point actually is
@Chiira I think he's asking a genuine question though- from a point of frustration- and not endorsing it. If you run a clean business in this country, it actually is a question you will ask yourself one too many times when your good intentions are met with blatant disregard
I don't even know anymore what we need to do to reset this country? Maybe banish/off everyone above 18 and let the kids raise themselves into a new system. What options are left? Because it's not even just the leaders, it's the entire populace that's a problem
Sometime back I ranted about what this govt boasts as 'digital skills' or 'digital empowerment' is anything but.
Here is a critical example of them stifling what is a true case of digital empowerment by chasing yet another global digital player off the market.
