It’s been a few months since the drama ended, but I’m still sad because I’m so attached to it. 🥹 I don’t know what will happen to Han Da-on’s character in season 2, but if it happens (S2), I’ll be really happy. Q: This may be a silly question, but which part of the drama or the character did you find most appealing? I was first drawn to the drama. I thought it would be so fun. I wanted to try playing Han Da-on because he is the female version of a male character. Usually, men embrace women and protect them from evil. But Han Da-on is the one being protected. He cried so much that I wonder if it is okay for a man to cry this much, and he also gets princess carried (by Bitna), which was both new and fun. 😂 Q: What do you think is the reason for its popularity? I think it’s the revenge and judgment that are different from reality. In addition, the drama has a fast development and contains a lot of joy and sorrow, so it seems to have a high level of empathy. Since it’s a crime fantasy genre, there were some viewers who didn’t like the love line, but from Han Da-on’s perspective, the love line couldn’t be left out! He’s a character with strong convictions as a police officer due to the pain of losing his parents when he was young. At first, he acknowledged the devil according to his purpose of punishing the criminal, and he must have felt love as he watched Kang Bit-na gradually become more human. In fact, it was not easy to find the point where emotions crossed over, but since it is a fantasy, there is a certain degree of tolerance compared to a realistic drama, so I think I was able to acknowledge the devil in a comical tone. Q: Do you have any regrets as Han Da-on? There are some scenes that I regret in terms of acting. Especially the emotional scenes. I wish I had thought more and expressed them in more detail. He's older, and he's a director from SBS's "I Want to Know That" and has sharp eyes, so I went to see him with a worried mind, but when I actually met him, he was very kind. Of course, I felt an aura even then. Even if it wasn't this work, I thought I wanted to work with him someday, and I'm really happy that we got to work together. Also, the director doesn't judge an actor solely based on their previous work, but he seems to look at other things as well. Q: How was the romantic chemistry with actress Park Shin-hye, your co-star? She must have helped you a lot because she is a senior in acting. She gave me a lot of advice about the romantic comedy genre. She would say things like, ‘Oppa, if you do this, it will be so cute, it will be pretty.’ As we acted, I could really feel that she is a veteran actress with 21 years of experience, and she uses her eyes and expressions really well. Thanks to that, I was able to do the kiss scene comfortably with natural chemistry. Bitna’s role is strong, fierce, and requires her to be cool, and she also has a lot of action scenes, so it was a very difficult character to play, but she held everything together.
