Comparing 2024 and 2025, there is also a notable decrease in UK members and seems to be a general minor decrease in membership from the European countries.

The 2025 SBL Report is out now. The membership numbers of the 14 countries with the most members (i.e., those that each represent about 1% or more of the total) may be compared with previous years since 2018 (2020 is omitted due to omission of the stats in the 2020 report).

Some observations are (1) the continuing significant decrease in number of USA members, (2) the increase in 2025 of members in Australia, and (3) the increase in 2025 of members in South Korea. I expect ISBL 2026 in Australia contributed to (2).
