@sensemakerlab@docmilanfar It's not that strange actually - if the standard error expresses your expected error in estimating the true population mean from a subsample, then in the limit of an ever larger subsample you expect that error tend towards zero. If you measure all n, then you know the "true" mean
@AlonZivony That seems to be like text book “correlation != causation”. There could be a third variable affecting both, there could be a collider you are controlling for, or there might even be a causal link but in the other direction you were expecting. Interesting this is where the fun is!
