We had to pleasure to attend the Stop AAPI Hate March and Vigil yesterday. As AAPI students, it is disheartening to see the lack of anger and coverage on the rise of Anti-Asian American violence in the US. Thank you for the people who have provided us support. #StopAAPIHate
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Anti-Asian American Violence event. Another thank you to @MSPScholarsRM for collaborating with us! One final thank you to all the teachers, staff, and students who took the time to attend the event, we appreciate you all!
Uncheery for now! Specifically this past year, I have been afraid for my family/friends/cheer babies dealing w/the fallout of such reckless behavior. Do you know how scary even the mere thought of sneezing/coughing in the grocery store/anywhere is because of who I am? 1/9
Just got mistaken for Chinese, a new one for me but I guess I can *kinda* see it.
Unfortunately the context was dude repeatedly telling me this means I "don't belong here" & need to "go back where I came from." A brief (distanced) shouting match ensued. Bad times. Bad signs.
I voted yes on #HRes908 in memory of Vincent Chin, in solidarity with my sister in service @stephanielily and in the spirit of #Detroit's Grace Lee Boggs. We must commit, as Grace did for 100+ years, to liberate our world from hate. Anti-Asian racism related to #COVID19 must end.
Wishing everyone a terrific first day of school: our awesome teachers & administrators, students, & especially our SENIORS!! You’ve got this #RocketNation!!!
