To our girl Azriel,
I’m sorry.
I hope they would learn that loving someone also means learning that not every way of protecting them feels like protection to them. Sometimes, our love needs to be gentler, compromising, and more careful.
We know that sometimes, the love and concern that come from those who care about you can unintentionally bring you pain, Aza.
And I’m sorry if, at any point, some of us allowed othrs to throw stones at you by opening a window for their judgment.
I’m sorry, too, for the moments when people were too quick to open healed wounds and well-learned books, forgetting that behind everything they scrutinize is a person who have been trying to live, grow, dream, and become the best version of herself.
This isn’t about pointing fingers. It isn’t only the Razzles who may have opened that window. The others know who they are, and we know they love you just as much as we do. But love also means learning when to be more careful with our words, our bravery to speak, our actions, and the spaces we create around you.
And we hope that, moving forward, we can all be responsible enough to protect you without hurting others, to support you without tearing anyone down, and to respect everyone around you… as Razzles have always tried to do.
Az, you did nothing wrong by being true, and by chasing your dreams. You did nothing wrong by trying, learning, growing, and becoming the woman you want to be. You were responsible enough to make right of the past mistakes, to find your way, to celebrate your wins, and you deserve simply to be human without every step being scrutinized or judged so harshly.
We only hope the world becomes a little gentler sa iyo, mahal ko.
We hope people see beyond the noise and notice the girl who keeps showing up, working hard, chasing her dreams, and doing her best to become the best version of herself— and sa likod ng lahat na ito, remained kind and open to everyone.
Please keep dreaming, Az. Keep growing. Keep becoming.
And whenever the world feels a little too harsh, remember that there are people who see you, not just the things people say about you, and who will continue to cheer for you with love, respect, and a little more wisdom along the way.
We’re sorry. We love you. And we’re proud of you. Always.
PROUD OF YOU AZA
