Chandler should've dropped Monica and ran for the hills the minute she was set to pretend to be someone else and lie to the mother of the baby they wanted to adopt.
(I'm, uh, revisiting Friends.)
I was sent a beef jerky sampler, and one of them is everything bagel flavored (‽), and it's the last one left and I haven't opened it yet because I'm terrified I might like it. Because what then?
I only mention it because it's an interesting/odd choice. There are dozens of locations with signage that could have filled in for a western bar in LA, but they used a (then open) bar in SF for just a second.
They had stock footage they could use for free I assume, but who knows?
In season 7, ep 17 of Modern Family, there's a brief establishing shot of the exterior of a famous, but now defunct, club in San Francisco. Slim's.
At 333 11th Street for 30+ years, it closed in early-2020.
The next interior scene is supposed to be in a western-themed bar in LA.
The actor who plays the Man w/ One Arm in The Fugitive is in a season 8 episode of Murder, She Wrote playing a casino manager, and his boss at one point refers to him as the "king of the one-armed bandits."
This was almost two years before the film's release.
And he has two arms.
Shopping for, prepping, mixing, bottling, and cleaning up after a 4-gallon batch of egg nog in a tiny kitchen is a half-day project that takes a whole day (the nog must rest, and shopping, preparing, and bottling are three separate tasks), and now, minutes to midnight, I am DONE.
I made the best pumpkin pie I've ever made yesterday and I can't figure out what made it the best. I stuck with my usual recipe for both filling and crust, and same old bake time and everything. Something magical happened and I want to both savor every bite, and scarf all of it.
@VDOOZER@mattsimplythat Rebooting a show simply because people are out of work? That is the most vapid and capitalist approach to art and comedy.
Were people clamoring for this?
An idea and decision completely bereft of inspiration and creativity.
After a few nights of insomnia, and only a few hours of sleep in days, I start doing affirmations out loud before I go to bed.
"I AM going to sleep tonight. I AM going to wake up rested and energized. I AM going to feel good and have a positive day tomorrow."
It has never worked.
We've reached the point on Thanksgiving Day Eve where my mom comes over to me and says: "Well, I can't find the Allspice OR the Cream of Tartar, and I'm not going back out again, so if this pie is a total disaster, so be it."
@itsbighonkin Have you tried the Theratherm heating pad? It's a moist heat and it gets HOT. Highly recommended, and get the big one if you try it. Seems a little pricy, but it's worth every dollar I promise. I've got major pain stuff, and it really brings much relief.
