In Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit man named Rajesh was taken into police custody. He was later seen collapsing outside the lockup. His family alleges that he was brutally beaten while in custody.

Uttar Pradesh is increasingly becoming a graveyard for Dalits. The custodial violence and repeated atrocities against Dalits are deeply disturbing and shameful.

There must be an impartial investigation, accountability and strict action against anyone responsible. #DalitLivesMatter
