Retweet to let the whole world know that the Democratic Party in the ultimate swing state of Wisconsin had a convicted pedophile who preyed on teen boys serve as co-chair of its powerful Latino Caucus and manage a key member’s re-election campaign. https://t.co/8D00j0JUz9
#BREAKING: The #Milwaukee Journal Sentinel just named the accused business leader and confirmed our reporting on the politician’s assault accusation to police but is failing to name the Democrat politician accuser. I don’t think that’s fair, so I’m going to name them both.
The accuser is Milwaukee Common Council President Jose Perez. The accused is Marty Brooks, the president and CEO of the Wisconsin Center District, a public entity that gets tax dollars and owns and operates the Wisconsin Center, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, and Miller High Life Theatre.
Why are we naming Perez?
📌 Ald. Perez is a prominent elected official who sits on the board that oversees Brooks and WCD! How will that work now? That nexus alone makes his identity newsworthy.
To recap: In November, Perez filed a police report with MPD accusing Brooks of pinching his butt after a David Crowley fundraiser, saying it left him traumatized. It came in as an alleged s*xual as*ault. Police investigated.
📌 Perez is now being accused of making a complaint where the DA “found no basis for charges” by Jim Kanter, a top businessman who is chair of the board on which he sits. Since he is a prominent elected city leader, voters have a right to know that accusation was made. The DA met with both and opted not to press charges; Brooks denied the allegations. I am taking no position on whether this accusation was false or true; I just think the public has a right to know about it.
📌 There is a police report.
If this were reversed- say Robin Vos accused Tim Michels of pinching his butt at a Tom Tiffany fundraiser (hysterically bizarre hypothetical that would never happen and that never happened and is designed merely to prove a point), there is a zero chance the media wouldn’t name names, especially if he sat on the board that oversees him.
Both Brooks and Perez did not respond to a request for comment.

@dabearsblog Can you recall a time when the bears played well when wearing the "all blues"? Always seems like they bring them out on "special" primetime and when they do, the game is not good
