They will look you in the eyes and CONFIRM they’re Islamophobic. Immeasurably more work/money/etc is needed to combat Islamophobia than any other hate

Pienso que @petrogustavo decide evocar a Sacco y Vanzetti, porque en el fondo, las mismas fuerzas que los asesinaron son las mismas que hoy bombardean niños en Gaza, levantan muros, deprecian y humillan a los más pobres entre los pobres, los inmigrantes.

Sacco y Vanzetti hoy son un símbolo las luchas sociales por la justicia social, ellos significan los líderes sociales que defienden a las y los más empobrecidos.

Pero Sacco y Vanzetti están allí para recordar la vergüenza de la segregación social que sufren los inmigrantes, ayer italianos e irlandeses, hoy venezolanos, colombianos, congoleños o sirios.

Este corto hilo se queda corto para describir estos tremendos personajes, por razones de espacio he omitido decenas de detalles y testimonios, la carta de Sacco a su hijo, imágenes del entierro, entre muchos otros. Pero solo buscaba hacer algo introductorio al tema, pensando especialmente en los jóvenes que no los conocen.
