Let me keep it blunt: most women aren’t crying over the person. They’re crying over themselves. The effort they gave, the hope they held, the delusion they fell for, & the reminder that love hasn’t rewarded them back.
I'll remove myself before I allow anger to consume me ever again. I like to love, I like to laugh, I like to be happy. So if I gotta distance myself to keep things that way, I will.
grief changes a person. it can literally rewire a person’s psychological system & even alter the trajectory of their life. & not just grief of death: grieving the reality of a hurtful experience, trauma, emotional pain. grief is a powerful state of life all of its own.
Nobody tells you how hard it is to rewire your brain so you can allow amazing things to happen to you after so much trauma or hurt. Blessings exist, good people exist, and a safer life exists. Let it happen.
stop letting people consume you. they didn't call? go to sleep. they didn't message you? put your phone down and have a better day. they left you on read? delete the conversation. they didn't make an effort? match their energy. never let your happiness depend on anyone.
