@LunaticArtimus Make sense. I've heard there's a thing called "wishlist decay." If a game stays in development for too long, more and more people lose interest and remove it from their wishlists.

With this beautiful milestone, it's time to wrap up the first day of the demo launch and Cooking Fest.
Overall, I'm happy with the results, especially since I didn't have any big expectations going in.
According to Steam's ever-buggy stats, the game has been wishlisted by over 150 people so far, and more than 60 players have tried the demo, with an average playtime of 25 minutes.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave it a try!
The main issue is that, due to various circumstances, I managed to hit almost every possible pitfall for a weak launch.
The trailer was only finished 2โ3 days ago, and many of the game's mechanics and visuals were completed literally hours before release.
Because of that, I didn't have enough time to properly focus on marketing or reach out to influencers 2โ3 weeks before the demo launch. The game didn't get a big influx of players at launch, so Steam's algorithm didn't give it much visibility in search results.
But there's no reason to be sad about it. Rome wasn't built in a day, so I'll keep working on the game and growing the project.

Wow, almost 500 wishlists
The second big psychological barrier is almost broken ๐ The first was 100, and now we're here.
At one point, around 80 people from a country I'd never even heard of wishlisted Kaizen Kitchen in a single day. That's more than I got during the entire first half+ of the month after my Steam page went live.
Still no idea what happened that day, but I'm not complaining.

@GreeneRapture Looks great! The only thing is that the shadows feel a bit too harsh and dark. I think a softer, lighter shade would work better. Smth like that
Less than an hour until Steam Cooking Fest begins, and luckily, the Kaizen Kitchen demo is ready!
I had to cut some mechanics and leave others a little rough around the edges to get everything ready in time. But the demo is finally here.
I don't expect a sudden explosion in popularity or thousands of wishlists overnight. Marketing is a long process, and there's a lot of work ahead.
For now, I just hope people enjoy the game and don't run into any major bugs. And if you do find any, please let me know. I'll fix them.
In the coming posts, I'll look back at nearly a year and a half of development and share how far the game has come.
Thank you to everyone who gives Kaizen Kitchen a try and takes the time to leave feedback, even if it's negative. It genuinely helps.
