🇨🇦 MARK CARNEY REPORT CARD — AUGUST 2026
Canada was promised an economic heavyweight.
Let’s grade the results.
📉 ECONOMIC GROWTH: D
The Bank of Canada says Canada’s GDP growth was essentially FLAT over the previous year.
👷 JOBS: D
Unemployment has been hovering between 6.5% and 7%.
💰 COST OF LIVING: D
Inflation hit 3.0% in July.
Food: +3.0%
Transportation: +7.8%
Gasoline: +25.7% year-over-year.
🏠 HOUSING AFFORDABILITY: D
Housing remains unaffordable for millions of Canadians despite Ottawa promising to dramatically increase supply.
💳 DEFICITS & SPENDING: F
The federal government now projects a $66.9 BILLION deficit for 2025–26.
And another:
$65.3B in 2026–27
$63.1B in 2027–28
$57.7B in 2028–29
🇺🇸 U.S. TRADE RELATIONS: F
Carney was sold as the leader who could manage Trump.
Canada-U.S. negotiations collapsed.
The result?
50% U.S. tariffs on $27.6 BILLION worth of Canadian goods.
📦 TRADE CERTAINTY: F
Instead of a long-term agreement with our largest trading partner, Canada is now retaliating with tariffs on another $27.6 BILLION of U.S. imports.
🏭 BUSINESS CONFIDENCE: D
The Bank of Canada says the economy remains in excess supply and acknowledges trade uncertainty continues to weigh heavily on Canada.
📊 OVERALL ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT: D
Yes, there have been some positives — economic growth rebounded in Q2, the government has cut some taxes, and new housing measures have been introduced.
But Carney didn’t run as an ordinary politician.
He ran as THE ECONOMIST.
The expert.
The banker.
The guy who understood Trump.
The guy who would attract investment.
The guy who would get Canada’s economy moving.
So Canadians should ask a very simple question:
WHERE ARE THE RESULTS?

Results do.
300 year old Hudson Bay co. Gone under the liberals. 400 year old Lake Ontario. Gone under the liberals. 74 years of Hockey Night in Canada. Gone under the liberals. 55 years of the Snowbirds. Gone under the liberals. And the list goes on and on….
‼️WOW - Alberta Premier had to explain to Mark Carney and Doug Ford
what would HAPPEN if she turned off oil to the USA.
"Line 5 goes through Michigan to Ontario....Pearson Int'l Airport would run out jet fuel!
Shes dealing with imbeciles.
Canada’s economy doesn’t look the same as it did a decade ago. As industries, investment, and economic priorities shift, so does the question of where Canada’s economic strength comes from — and who shapes its direction. Who is driving Canada’s economy today? #Canada
Doug Ford tried to play tough guy with Donald Trump, but now he’s running back begging for a deal! These globalist politicians always talk big until Trump calls their bluff. Canada needs access to the US market, not empty posturing. America First means we set the rules now! 🇺🇸
.@POTUS isn't just reshaping America. He's positioning the entire Western Hemisphere for total self-sufficiency. While past presidents managed our decline, this administration is securing our hemisphere’s own energy, minerals, food, and supply chains so we never have to rely on hostile regimes like China or Iran ever again. GOOD! It’s about time.
🚨🇺🇸BREAKING: U.S. news outlets reported that Andrew and Tristan Tate are to be RELEASED on bail‼️
Have the press leaked information too early? Are the boys really coming home⁉️
Pray the judge makes the right decision 🙏🏻
I think Canadians really need to understand this message.
Trump is not Canada's problem. Trump is the straw that broke Canada's back
Canada's issues stem from decades of mismanagement across all of our governments.
- We have internal trade barriers worse than the tariffs we get from external countries.
- We have limited supply chain routes across our country.
- We've never diversified our export markets.
- We have heavy regulation stopping us from building or extending permitting times essentially indefinitely.
- Our bureaucracy is expanding while our services are diminishing.
- We spend taxpayer money without accountability or outcome-driven plans.
- We think we're morally superior to the rest of the world.
Canada can be fixed, 100%. I believe that but it would take us actually looking inside of ourselves and realizing that we need to change how we govern/manage our country and the vast (unrealized) wealth we have.
Let us have your views vs Abacus poll which says “7-in-10 Canadians support Carney’s decision to halt U.S. trade talks”!
Do you support Carney’s decision for halting U.S. trade talks?

SOL staking could evolve from passive yield into a claim on real network revenue
Mert highlights a key part of the Solana staking thesis: stakers can benefit from economic activity happening directly on the network.
“Not only are you getting protected from issuance, you’re getting additional real productive yield from actual on chain revenue.”
“The validators capture those fees.”
“That can only happen on a chain where it can support mass activity at scale.”
High frequency traders and market makers pay transaction and MEV fees to get their activity processed. Validators capture that revenue, and some can pass it back to SOL stakers.
The model becomes:
More onchain activity → more fees → more validator revenue → more productive yield for stakers
For Mert, scale is critical. A network needs enough transaction throughput for fees to accumulate into meaningful revenue without making each transaction prohibitively expensive.
SOL staking can capture the economic value generated by the network itself.

🇨🇦 Every Canadian needs to watch this at least once.
Don’t let @MarkJCarney and the @liberal_party hide behind headline inflation data.
Lower inflation does not mean lower prices.
It means prices are still rising..on top of years of brutal increases.

Canada’s M2 just hit $2.83 trillion.
That’s nearly 6× what it was in 2000.
They didn’t create six times more oil, six times more lumber, or six times more food.
They created six times more dollars.
Your wages didn’t 6×.
Your grocery bill did.
Your house payment did.
Your kids’ future did.
This isn’t an economy.
It’s a slow-motion confiscation.
Canadian crypto trader “Trader Mayne” says all of Canada is just going to be Indian people in 10 years
“It’s literally over. I can’t go into restaurants, banks… Tim Hortons was a Canadian icon and you can’t even order anymore because they don’t speak English.
I have no issue with immigration, but the numbers… they lied to us… there’s at least 5–7 million Indians that were added in the last decade. We’re a 30 million person country. It’s completely f*cked.”
🚨HOW DUMB IS THAT?🔥🔥
Canada just threatened to cut off 4 million barrels of crude a day.💥
Sam Romain’s reply should haunt Ottawa:
“They send 4 million barrels per day. What they get back is gasoline.
Shut the pipeline? Fine.
You’re not getting any gas.”
Eastern Canada doesn’t refine enough of its own fuel. The crude goes south. The gasoline comes back north. Cut the line and the pumps in Ontario and Quebec go dry first.
That’s not leverage. That’s mutually assured shortage.
