@3aNashix@adi78@virus_am71 Crazy that its only ever mentioned that poland invaded czechoslovakia at the same time as hitler but somehow its never mentioned how czechoslovakia did the exact same thing when poland was fighting the soviet union
@gaivoronian6_0@xofreyr You could not name two bordering ethnic groups that did not fight each other at some point in that region during that time acting like it’s all Polands fault is delusional
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 I can’t argue with an opinion, but i think that they would have a hard time developing an actual coherent road network without an authority overhead but if you think otherwise then that’s fine by me.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 And after that they’d realise that a master plan is required for the roads to work best therefore generating most profit. That plan could not satisfy all companies so compromises would have to be made, needing a mediator. You may call it what you, like for me thats a government.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 But there IS a market established for road construction and delays are very common. I think the current system is the best, companies are made to compete which each other in terms of price but they all work to a common cohesive project.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 But the money spent on building two roads between the same destinations could be spend by a higher entity on making one better road or even many other roads.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 Easily come? Roads take years to build and can cost hundreds of millions, you would have to comply to their will before the actual construction even started.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 And what if they raise the prices? Roads are expensive how many alternatives do you think you would have? I mean on the most popular routes there would be some, but every other place? They could take as much money from you as they liked and you could do nothing to stop it.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 Veto powers, like the president?. I don’t think what i said works in your favour, if you privatised every step of road construction then you would have roads competing with each other for drivers which completely counter productive and a waste of money.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 You realise the ceo doesn’t own the company right? He’s just a guy chosen by some council to manage things, you know, like a government. Also, you know that roads are constructed by private companies which may compete with eachother, its just the layout thats decided.
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 So you would need to pay a toll to enter any road? Seems arduous. Why don’t we just make everyone pay a little bit of money for road maintenance since they benefits from them anyways.a city that has one singular owner doesn’t seem very realistic so again decisions by committee
@Anarcho_Econ@iheilhoppe@burrito69420 A road provides value for multiple places at once so naturally no one company would want to pay for it. A joint operation would require some concessions which no one would want to take so naturally an impartial entity would need to be created to decide i.e a government.
@prosokocho@TheColbster94@GereonK23502@Jay2Goat_ How is it a waste of time? They weren’t going anywhere anyways, the needed to wait for Mark to heal. You basically described people that fish with the cat analogy. The fact that you don’t understand why anyone would do that doesn’t mean that it’s also the case for other people.
