We visited Kakamega Forest (courtesy of Plants for Life) where community and nature truly coexist. From replanting trees to protecting vital resources, it’s all about balance: what you take, you give back. This Earth Month, a reminder to protect what protects us 🌍.

Please continue to share and repost this video and we hope to organise more story telling sessions at KaJok'Oby for both adults and kids. We all love a cheeky laugh.... https://t.co/4E09xQqoIC
We appreciate the traction this video has been generating showing us that story-telling can be a tool for the conservation of the environment and in doing so shape the future for the younger generations. https://t.co/4E09xQqoIC
This is why we put up the video, so that parents everywhere can share this moments with their young ones - to watch, get entertained and learn the importance of trees. From planting trees, caring for trees, learning the different species and that trees are actually a treasure.
On a trip to Kakamega Forest we celebrated World Indigenous Tree Day 18th of April 2026, also the efforts of the Lukusitsi Forest a successful slow and steady project in re-wilding headed by the @nurtureinthewild_plantsforlife spear-headed by Mr. Nicholson and his team.
We even managed to get a tree akin to Rayudhi! (hope you've watched that video). It was a day worth attending.
Have an amazing day and remember to plant a tree, because we don't have a planet B. Radd, KaJok'Oby Comms. lead.
The latest episode of the idealpodcastke is out featuring Hilda Obyerodhyambo and Oby Obyerodhyambo at the Arboretum hosted by Oscar Outa.
We’ve been trying to create a space for people to come share in conversation and serenity. Link: https://t.co/OVRYmD8Kjc
We did a one on one thing with the founders of the Arboretum KaJok’Oby - that’s us. We had a one on one session with ourselves, and that is not strange. Right?
