I received this message a few hours ago on WhatsApp, and I’m sharing it here to correct some misconceptions about #RockyCat.

• Firstly, ROCKYCAT IS NOT AN AFRICAN PROJECT.

While the idea may have originated from the African geographical landscape, the narrative cuts across the globe because there are #underdogs everywhere.

Across different continents are people who are intentional and deliberate about overcoming limitations, creating opportunities, and gaining greater stakes in the economy. The RockyCat community is made up of such great minds from across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

@Tim32015558, for example, is from the Netherlands and has been one of the brains working incredibly hard behind the scenes to contribute to the success of the RockyCat project. And there are many others who are not even on X, but are equally contributing behind the scenes.

Beyond the narrative, RockyCat is also a #Web3 project, and because Web3 is global by nature, RockyCat is part of that global ecosystem.

That is the broader idea behind #RockyCat: bringing together people from around the world, across Web2 & Web3, who identify with the underdog story and are willing to build, contribute, and grow together.

So, if you're seeing this for the first time, irrespective of where you hail from, you are highly welcome to the #RockyCat family. 🤝

• Secondly, our objective is NOT TO FIGHT the established system.

We can build, participate, collaborate, and create our own economic infrastructure while finding our place within the broader ecosystem.

That is the philosophy behind RockyCat.
