It’s hard to imagine many people having a bigger impact than Dolly Parton. Born in a one-room cabin, she earned 11 Grammys and an Emmy, built a business empire, helped millions of kids learn to read, and — as if that wasn’t enough — helped accelerate the research that led to the Moderna COVID vaccine. What a life. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolly’s family and her many, many fans.
Yes, those photos you’ve seen are real.
More than 18 years ago, a baby named Lamine Yamal and his mom Sheila met Lionel Messi at a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot.
Today, their achievements on the pitch inspire millions. Off the pitch, both Messi and Lamine Yamal use their voices and platforms as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors to support and advocate for children around the world.
The goal? That every child survives, thrives, and fulfils their potential.
We are proud to have them on our team.

“Tutaendelea kutafiti. Tutajenga. Tutahamasisha.”

Artemis II just took humankind farther than ever before. 🚀
Our European Service Module sent Orion around the Moon and safely back home, providing power, propulsion and life support for the crew.
Relive the mission with our highlights video.👇
There is something profoundly humbling, yet extremely exciting about watching human ingenuity return home from space. Such a thrill actually.
Tonight, all eyes will be on the Orion spacecraft as it begins one of the most violent, yet precisely controlled journeys ever attempted, re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
After traveling hundreds of thousands of kilometers through the silence of deep space, Orion will meet the atmosphere at speeds of over 40,000 km/h. Then, physics will take over.
The spacecraft will not simply fall back to Earth. It will skip across the atmosphere, in a carefully calculated trajectory. This skip-entry maneuver allows Orion to gradually reduce speed, controlling its descent with extraordinary precision.
As it spears through the atmosphere, temperatures around the capsule will rise to nearly 3,000°C. The heat shield will glow, plasma will form and for a few minutes, Orion will be wrapped in a fiery envelope, temporarily cutting off communication with Earth.
This is engineering mastery.
Every angle, every material and every second of that descent has been calculated by very intelligent minds, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
The violence of spearing through the atmosphere will then give way to calm. Parachutes will deploy in perfect sequence, and finally the splashdown into the Pacific Ocean, at 3:07am Kenyan time.
Humanity no longer just looks up to the moon and the deep space. We go there, we return and we do it with precision.
I have drawn this information from various sources. It has been fascinating to read up and follow the Artemis II mission, which is part of a bold effort to return humanity to the Moon, more than half a century after the historic Apollo programme, and a crucial stepping stone towards an eventual human mission to Mars.
In Greek mythology, Apollo and Artemis were twin siblings, with Apollo being the god of light, and Artemis the goddess of the Moon.
Statement by President George W. Bush on Chuck Norris:
"Laura and I are saddened by Chuck Norris’s passing. He was a legend in Texas and beyond. Through his foundation and his example, he made a huge difference in the lives of young people by instilling character and discipline through martial arts. It was said that when Chuck Norris entered a room, he didn’t turn the lights on; he turned the dark off. Laura and I are fortunate to have called him a friend, and we send our sympathy to his family."
Chuck was an icon.
I am grateful that I was able to work with him in multiple ways over the years, from promoting fitness to sharing the screen together. He was a badass, in real life and in Hollywood.
His legend will be with us forever. My thoughts are with his family.

A great player but above all, a great human being.
Only a strong character shows such resilience in those circumstances.
