Although the results didn’t end the way we wanted, coming home and watch both teams reach the conference championship for the first time in more than 10 years was truly special.

This has been one of the most fulfilling sports season in my 15 years in athletics.
When I left Southern, the young women on the volleyball and softball teams were just freshmen and sophomores. Even then, I knew they had the potential to do something special.
