Giving thanks to @springsteen for all the music. This year I couldn't stop listening to One Minute You're Here. #SpotifyWrapped https://t.co/vlV8sJ0uWk
#Springsteen#Ticketmaster FYI… bought 4 floor tickets to Springsteen in Munich (yup, Germany) for $95 for each ticket. Plus the airline ticket was about $300 one way (cheaper than flying from Milwaukee to LA). Do the math. How is that possible? No Ticketmaster.
“Sports are like the reward of a functioning society,” Nationals pitcher Sean Doolittle. Which raises the question, what is keeping us from fighting this virus together? #COVID19
@AnnHulbert1 I'm a middle school teacher in Wisconsin and I have a student who is researching storytelling, how it's changed since Bros Grimm, and its historical impact on children. Maddie would be honored to speak with you virtually for a short interview. Is this possible?
At this time my classroom is traditionally packed with the sound of questions, laughter, scratching of pencils on paper, fingers tapping keyboards, and celebrations of understanding. Today there is only silence, #COVID19 . It’s just me and the sculpture from a former student.
Took this pic outside my small Wisconsin town. Made me wonder how Native Americans feel. Or is the author Native American and wants this Norwegian, Irish American to leave? Is it a play on irony or just stupidity? So many questions. I’m so confused.
Winner of the coveted prize for Most Idiotic Comment Not Uttered by an Owner of Mar-a-Lago: A Waldorf school parent, asked to explain why she refuses to vaccinate her kids, replied that she's a Buddhist. "We're taught to live in the present. Right now, my children are healthy"
My boy who could barely read a year ago (adopted him from foster care) is now addicted to reading and I have to make him put his book down to go to bed and I now know what the expression bursting with pride means.
Why are some students so angry? Why do they turn to extreme acts of violence to solve their issues? This weekend, a group of 30 teacher-leaders will come together to find the answers to these questions at our first Summit on School Safety. https://t.co/zf2MTbV3Tj
I’m not blaming Nat Geo, but their promo today let’s readers know that it will only take 7 min to read their cover story. Is that our nation’s attention span? Will we only invest in reading if it doesn’t take more than 7 minutes? I can’t wait to get my 6th graders’ views.
“My younger sister told me that if you flush an ice cube before you go to bed, & then place a spoon under your pillow, we’ll have a snow day in the morning." — One of my 6th-grade students explaining why the school superintendent canceled school on Wed. because of cold & snow.
For me, I want to keep sharing with and pushing students to read books written by and about people who look, act, love and pray differently than they do. We have to push back on racism and bigotry with education and honesty rather than platitudes and disinterest.
