@Debbie_banks30@TassieWild Rich folk with their egos ‘conquering’ nature whilst totally cooking it. Terrible behaviour with zero fucks given about the environment. People suck.
@DavidJKillick Your writing is getting better and better as you step closer and closer to retirement. I love your dry takes on politics. Look dead cat and step by step scandal guidelines were brilliant. Thank you for being our Agent of the Fourth Estate #greatjournalism
@dsb_isms ‘but it my heritage to ride motorbikes there’ - urgh. I always cringe at the counter arguments to protecting the Arthur-Pieman. Once you’ve seen vehicle tracks through hut depressions and middens it’s obvious the two aren’t compatible. Should be TWWHA.
@jeremyrockliff $750m minus $15m equals $735m. Where are we getting that cash from Jeremy? I’d rather see money invested in health care. Nothing wrong with playing football on Bellerive Oval.
8.6% inflation in Tassie 🤯 highest in the country, that pay offer is going to need to be nation leading to help public sector workers manage the sky rocketing cost of living.
I work full time in a State Service job. I’m paid a Band 5 wage. This year I have to triage money decisions, choose only 1 of the following: Pay mortgage / fill car with fuel / buy groceries - we need a pay rise @jeremyrockliff, inflation is crushing Tasmanians #help
Labor has confirmed today that wages will be going backwards for the next two years. But billionaires, CEOs and politicians will still get a $9k a year handout from the ALP’s Stage 3 tax cuts. Its impossible to argue that Labor is still the party that looks after working people.
@birdandbatlife Such awesome research, super interesting! How is the bat box design going? Has it been successful? I still make parrot boxes and the one I made for you is still up Dads big eucalyptus niten. …although it’s possums that live in there these days.
Kids and I listened to your bat podcast @birdandbatlife, wow really interesting. Especially the volume of insects being eaten from cotton crops and the importance of habit near farmland #science#biodiversity#bats
