A lot of players spending too much time working on the wrong thing. Hours in the weight room but can't field a ground ball, or catch a fly ball. You'll be a strong player with a .200 batting average and a sub .900 fielding percentage. Get on the field and work on your craft.
I train all of my players like shortstops. Pitchers, Third Baseman, Catchers. All of them. Can you imagine all players on the field with shortstop movements?!
Stay away from saying things like, โwell Iโm only a first baseman so I donโt have quick feet.โ Cmon man. You can do it!
Players, be confident but not cocky. There is a difference. Some players seem to confuse them. Trust in your abilities, but donโt get clouded and treat your teammates with disrespect.
