We mourn the passing of *Alhaji Issa Nuhu Abbas Okeleru*
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, have mercy on his soul, expand his grave, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
May Allah also comfort and strengthen the family he left behind.
Yesterday, I led a delegation of management from the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies on a condolence visit to Professor Attahiru Jega following the passing of his beloved wife, Hajiya Hadiza Attahiru Jega.
This is a deeply painful loss. On behalf of the Institute, I extend my heartfelt sympathies and prayers for comfort, strength, and patience in this difficult time. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
Kwara can be better. The question is: are we ready to do things differently?
In this video, one of the leading Gubernatorial candidate of APC in Kwara state, Prof. Sulaiman explains what leadership is and how he's the kind of leader kwara needs to consolidate on existing work and move the state to the next level.
He explains how capacity is important in ensuring followership understand the mission which will lead to its accomplishments.
He explains his deep convictions, ideals, intellect and capacity that makes him the ideal choice as someone who will pilot kwara affairs further forward, beyond parochial sentiments.
Everyone agrees that KWARA needs to move further forward, and this kind of change does not happen by chance or selection.
It takes someone who understands the system, has shown capacity across different public service and is ready to work to drive this development.
Easter reminds us that even in the darkest moments, hope can rise again. It is a season of renewal, sacrifice, and the enduring promise that light will always overcome darkness.
As we celebrate this solemn occasion, we must also reflect on the state of our nation. Across Nigeria, many families continue to grapple with the pain of insecurity, uncertainty, and loss. In times like these, the message of Easter calls us not only to faith, but to compassion, unity, and a collective resolve to build a safer, more just society for all.
May this season renew our strength, restore our hope, and inspire us both as leaders and citizens to work towards a Nigeria where peace, security, and prosperity are not aspirations, but realities.
Happy Easter.
important decisions will be made on Kwara State between now and tomorrow. the best candidate so far remains Amana. if the APC wants to do zoning, well it might just cost them the election.
this same Prof Sulaiman Abubakar is who you are comparing with other candidates. I don’t think you guys understand the magnitude of his achievements as the DG NILDS. yesterday’s chapter was his achievements 11 years ago and we didn’t even finish the chapter yet.
