#302f23 7th edition Ms. Paige exhibited creativity through creating a game-like feel to the children's learning. She took agency by not wanting the students to simply receive good math grades on tests. Community was from having students work together.
@codyb124 I have realized that I am a hands-on learner because simply seeing how something is done and lectures does not retain in my brain. I actually have to work through it on my own (sometimes by trial and error)
I prefer the constructionist way of learning because I love collaboration and the endless possibility of conclusions. With inquiry-driven learning, nothing is binary.
#302f23 Constructivism is inquiry-based and concepts are typically abstract. objective - specific project/outcome is expected. combined tech - optimizes visuals, and logistical gaps
@codyb124 Students doing their own research is always great. It teaches students to craft their own questions. Interpreting results and data is also imperative for students to see the bigger picture.
#302f23 CK - Knowledge of laboratory animal science and livestock
PK - I ask open-ended questions so the child I am tutoring is able to do independent research later on and so they won’t be exclusively subjected to regurgitating information
TK - I am a virtual tutor so I have to have knowledge of zoom and screen sharing in order to teach
PCK - Utilizing children’s innate interest in animals to teach them about larger concepts such as compassion and ethics
