@AggieLaura90 I also thought that this was a great demonstration of agency. They took the issue and their ideas for a solution to others to gain support. Being able to communicate your goals and gain support is needed in any career you pursue.
They also met with colleagues and principals to gain support. Lastly, they showed community by not solely focusing their goals for their own classes, but for the district as a whole. They used the support from the community to make makerspace possible. (Pt 2) #302f23
Ms. Alkhouri and Ms. Read showed creativity in recognizing a potential deficit in their students' education and worked together using their resources to fix it. They also showed agency by using Twitter to gain ideas. (Pt 1) #302f23
@BardroffThomas I personally thought this was a great demonstration of community support from fellow teachers. Being able to adapt ideas from colleges to fit your curriculum is a skill that all instructors need.
@a_sch21 I also think that in Agriculture Education the majority are considered constructivists. A lot of this type of material requires hands-on learning where the students apply the material to real life.
@BPlena9968 I am the same way. Some material comes easily through memorization, whereas sometimes I have to actively participate. So, I resonate with both.
#302f23 I believe that I am both an objectivist and a constructivist. There is some material that I prefer memorization for whereas in some instances I require hands-on demonstrations. In regards to Ag Education, I lean toward a more hands-on approach to help apply the material.
@BenCasto414746 My past horticulture teacher had us use the Plant Toolbox to create plant ID notebooks. This really strengthen our ability to use our industry resources. I still use the Toolbox all the time.
@AlexisPortNC Hey Alexis, I really like the idea of using the game jeopardy to review the weekβs topics. I think this would be very engaging for both a youth and young adult audience.

@sweetflower_tes Hey Tessa! A goal of mine is to also work in community education. I hope to teach horticulture at a community college level. I wish you the best of luck, and look forward to working with you this semester.
#302f23 Hello everyone! My name is Cody. I am a second semester transfer with an Associates in Horticulture. My career goal is to become a horticulture instructor and spread my love for plants. An unrelated fact about me is that I love to play basketball in my free time.
#303s23 Both 4-H and FFA can be beneficial for students considering a career in any section of the Agriculture industry. They help expose students to both educational and career opportunities.
