The President has decided that in order to make ground beef cheaper, he will cut tariffs on ground beef. And I'm wondering if he could generalize from this one product to other products, and perhaps concede that tariffs raise prices on American consumers.
YEAH? WERE PEOPLE GOING TO SEE ALIEN IN 1979 ALL EXCITED TO SEE THE DAUGHTER OF THE GUY WHO CREATED THE GODDAMN FUCKING TODAY SHOW? ALSO SHES IN ANNIE HALL FOR ELEVEN SECONDS AND SHE JUST STANDS THERE LIKE A FUCKING GIRAFFE. NOBODY WAS AT ALIEN CLAMORING FOR THE GIRAFFE LADY
I’ll say it plainly: Americans are seeing prices soar and jobs vanish because of Trump’s tariffs.
How can you look at this reality and decide now is the time to give this lawless president more tariff authority?
@danielfford I was not much of a Neil Young fan growing up until I went to college in the early 90s and listened to Freedom and Ragged Glory. Those two albums were absolute game changers for me, and on opposite ends of the Neil musical spectrum. Will always love both!
Let’s review. The Trump admin indicted a 67-year-old Olympian for destroying government property. Jeanine Pirro did a press tour claiming she had “tremendous evidence.” And now she’s conceded the damage was the result of…a “flawed installation” by a contractor. What a circus.
A question for @scottlincicome - What effect does the Jones Act waiver have on gasoline prices? Would we be looking at even higher gas prices? Or is there not much correlation between the two?
@EsotericCD A Ghost is Born (2004) and Sky Blue Sky (2007) are easy callouts. Recent ones Cruel Country and Cousin have been good. If you want to make the cutoff 2008, that’s fine. Again, I love Spoon. Probably seen them as many times as Wilco at this point.
@SonnyBunch I was shocked that the only days I could see it on 70mm were today and tomorrow, and then Spider Man comes in and that's it. So I saw it today. But I figured it was doing so well I had more time. Maybe it will be at another theater not too far from me later but I was surprised.
