In USA, Nigeria, Ghana, Australia, New Zealand etc, We are called:
Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLSs)

In Ireland we are called:
Medical Scientists

In UK we are called:
We are Biomedical Scientists (BMSs)

In Canada we are called
Medical laboratory technologists (MLTs)

We work side by side with Pathologists, and we are supported by Medical Laboratory Technicians/Assistance, and Associate Practioners.

We are not Labmen
We are not Doctors.
We are not Technicians.
We are not nurses.

We do not prescribe or manage a patient care
We are involved in disease diagnosis
We test patient's blood, tissues, faeces, csf, plural fluid etc to determine a patient health status
We are well trained medical professionals with career path in laboratory and diagnostic pathology.
We are involved in limitless Healthcare research, biotechnology and biomedicine and Biomedical Engineering, education and training, commerce and industry, logistics and supply chain, leadership and management etc

We use very sophisticated medical equipment and computer systems to carry out our tasks

It is imperically proven that 70% of clinical decisions are based on what we do.

We are unsonged yet we are there for every patient and we make the work even smother for those who manage the patient.
