@Se_Railway Don't agree that advance tkts are for spare capacity. They are bought in advance to get the best/lowest price. If they are priced up the same as Anytime tkts then what is the point of having them. Let's just admit your ticket prices are unreasonably extortionate and move on.

@Se_Railway Well the 4 may is a Bank Holiday so most people won't be commuting for work in peak hours, so this comparison is rather pointless.

@Se_Railway I understand that but for May and June the advanced ticket prices are the same as the Anytime tickets. So there's no saving in buying in advance is there.

@Se_Railway Sorry, yes there are advanced tickets, but the prices have nearly doubled to what they usually are. For information, usually the advanced ticket to and from London costs about £30 when bought in advance, for may and June its £50! What is the reason for the huge increase?

@PaulJohnson65 I travel in the rush hour so the prices are no where near as cheap as that unfortunately.

@Se_Railway There are no Advance Single tickets (the cheaper tickets). The only tickets available are the more expensive Anytime tickets. For example I'm looking at 1 June. The morning ticket is £28.50 just on its own, nearly double the price it usually is. Why has the price gone up so much?

@_AnonHater_ I remember watching a UK breakfast show once many years ago, there was some American guy on the show after a shooting in the US (i forget which one), and he was convinced the only way to stop gun violence and the mass shootings was to have more guns!! Like, make it make sense!!
