@lourdesgnavarro I think the opportunities that can be gained from rethinking higher Ed are great. Why can’t learning be available to students who still want to learn beyond themselves and have a need to work? There’s no sense in gate keeping learning -or anything. Congrats to your niece!
@Komaniecki_R Exactly. Skills are learnable. No need to exclude people for the lack of exposure. How do you know what you don’t know? I got a music minor because I couldn’t pass sight singing- I’m a flute player. But I was able to join a national guard band and still continue to play.
@JaimeHuntIMC I’ve experienced all of these and it’s one of the reasons I’m focusing on this subject for my dissertation. While no one is perfect, having some sort of understanding of how your behavior affects your staff will go a long way in a cohesive team. It was a good read!
@JaimeHuntIMC Hi! I’m at the at the University of the Cumberlands, both as an employee and as a PHD student. I’ve worked in higher Ed for over 20 years. I’m happy to connect!
@JulianeSchikora @PhDVoice I liked this text:

@BrennanAnnie A good one does. Often, leaders carry ego that gets in the way of being a person who will benefit from learning from others. Learning from your team goes a long way in knowing what is actually needed, not just what the leader thinks.
@stepville I’ve known my husband since 1998. But it took until 2012 to make things real. Finally married in 2015. It took one look to know it was going to be worth it. Of course it hasn’t been easy but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
