我一直懷疑台灣(家長)對學英文的焦慮感有很大一部分來自於對口音莫名的執著。

每次見到批評人英文不好的，十之八九是在批評對方口音，但能適宜地因應談話主題場合而用對詞說對話才最重要。

在美國多年我很少見到歐洲或南美移民有像台灣人那樣對口音的自卑，對方聽不懂就再說一次，說到對方懂。(1)
