I blame @elonmusk for helping fuel the spread of neo-Nazism. There’s a fine line between protecting free speech and allowing hate movements to organize and grow unchecked. These groups became bigger because we gave them space to find their “tribe” online, recruit, and coordinate. We became so obsessed with defending “absolute free speech” that we forgot the real-world consequences of allowing organized hatred to spread as a political force. Same goes for radical Islamists groups and far-right anti Muslim groups.
