@SJVelling@uwimprint@yourwusaPres@yourWUSA IMO, SSAC has become a rubber stamp committee, we are just told that its not possible to do any reviews at this point as these fees need to be approved asap to be added to the BoG agenda and this there isn't any real accountability by student reps on this committee. (N/n)
@SJVelling@uwimprint@yourwusaPres@yourWUSA However, I couldn't get any support from the WUSA execs to get a vote on this motion. i was informed that they will do this even without the motion. However, I dont think they ended up doing that. (4/n)
@SJVelling@uwimprint I was disappointed to be told that its too late in the year to have these discussions and I should have brought it forward in the beginning of the year. However, they only inform us of the process behind the fee decisions near the end of the year. (2/n)
Still can't believe I had the amazing opportunity to contribute as an author for this paper! It was privilege to be work with passionate Student Leaders from Universities across Ontario. Thanks @OUSAhome@yourWUSA

@SC_Politician@ServiceON I would be okay with the services being contracted out but then all the services provided at a service Ontario should be provided by these centers.
Just learned that many @ServiceON are contracted out to be privately run and can't provide certain essential services like issuing OHIP for temporary residents (Work Permit/ student permit holders). Someone explain me how is privatization the answer for government bureaucracy!
Wow. 🇨🇦’s international students have been overdosing at an “alarming” rate. Just one Sikh temple has spent six-figures to send corpses back to India.
... but 🇨🇦 won’t track the data because it may hurt lucrative enrollments. Sounds familiar. 🧐
#WaterlooRegion Council voted to give themselves lifetime benefits before their last day in office, while providing the rest of us superfunded police surveillance and a pipeline to criminalization in lieu of life affirming services-in other words, a death sentence.
The good people of KW would really appreciate a weekend train. The student ridership alone would validate the investment. As a @GOtransitKT customer myself - avoiding the #401 has only intensified. And then...there is the economic & environmental argument @Metrolinx#onpoli
There's nothing normal about the Ontario government giving 43 MPPs a $16000 raise each while freezing nurses' salaries at 1% yearly increase. This injustice should be all over the news. Every single person who is okay with this injustice is a part of the problem.
@SC_Politician You were great Matthew. It's always fun when that one person brings up a really obscure procedure that you could never have prepared for
