The chaturmasya vrata kalam starts with Vyasa Puja on Ashada Purnima (13th day of Kataka month, Wednesday, 29th July 2026) and concludes with Vishvarupa Yatra on Bhadrapada Purnima (10th day of Kanya month, Saturday, 26th September 2026). Visesha pujas, spiritual and cultural programmes will be held during the Chaturmasyam. The 92d Avatãra Dina Utsava of the 69th Peetadhipati Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal will take place on 15th day of Kataka month Sravista nakshatra (Friday ,31st July 2026) with special Puja, Homa, Veda Parayanam, Namasankirtana etc.

When Dharmaputra was going to the forest, the munis followed him. As they followed, he said, “Duryodhana himself will take good care of you. So you may remain here.” That is the first point. Second, “If you come with me into the forest, where there is no comfort, and if I am unable to offer you proper upacāra or honor, it will be a blemish on me. It will not give me satisfaction. Therefore, all of you who deserve respect and sanmāna (honor), remain here" When he said this, the sages replied, “ First, we did not come seeking them. Second, Dharmā exists wherever you are. Therefore, we, the munis, should be with you, and we wish to remain with you. We consider it a privilege. So do not worry about these matters. Being with you is what is important to us; nothing else matters.” Even then, Dharmaputra’s manas does not accept it. At that time, Dhaumya, their guru, instructed Dharmaputra to perform tapas facing the Sun. Through the grace of Sūrya, He obtained the Akṣaya Pātra.
