Zillow has got to get a handle on the use of AI in listings. Using AI to mislead a prospective buyer into thinking that an attic might be useful as a living room and lounge is plainly fraud. Realtors evidently can't/won't police themselves, so the listing services should step in.

You are standing at the edge of the last ordinary week of your life, and you don’t know it yet.
Nobody can tell you… I’m telling you and you STILL won’t know.
Bookmark this and in 12 days come back to this and read it again.
When your baby is born you will look down, and you will know him.
You will find you have always known him.
Somehow he arrives already familiar, already the most important person and the answer to a question you didn’t know you have been asking your entire life up till' now.
You'll learn to fall in love with the particular weight of a sleeping child on your shoulder... which (as it happens) is the only weight in the world that makes a man feel lighter carrying it.
You’ll find out you had a capacity for fear you’d never once felt.
You will be more tired than you have ever been and more awake than you have ever been, at the same time, for many many years.
You will find yourself becoming a person you wouldn't recoginize years prior.
You will become a person who is moved by a nightlight flickering in the dark, illuminating the ups and downs of your son's chest as he breathes.
You'll find a crayon drawing in a winter coat pocket in March and it'll hit you like a ton of bricks and you will find yourself greiving lost memories of the not-so-distant past.
Time stops behaving the way it should.
Everyone says it goes by so fast and you will nod and think you understand.
But you won't.
You won't until one day you reach for his hand while you're crossing a parking lot and he's already reached for yours without looking, out of pure habit and love, and you realize you've been doing this for 6 years and... my God, it's been SIX YEARS.
Somewhere in the first month, you will look down at your own hands (liklely doing something familiar) and all of sudden, out of nowhere, you will see YOUR father's hands.
You'll understand why he was quiet at dinner some nights and why he worked the way he worked.
You'll understand what it cost him and what he was always so afraid of.
You'll finally understand what, exactly, he was carrying up the stairs at the end of the day.
For some men this will hit as immense gratitude.
For some, it arrives as grief, as a determination to do better.
Either way... you will not survive fatherhood intact.
The man who walks into that hospital does not walk out.
You will be dismantled. Piece by selfish piece.
The part that thought it was the main character. Gone.
The part that guarded said "I need me time." Demolished.
You are now drafted into a love you cannot resign from.
That love... it will ask for everything from you, and you will hand it over gladly, and that willingness will be the most surprising discovery of your entire life.
You will not be able to explain it to anyone, just as you even reading this now, will not truly know what I mean until you come back to this weeks or even years later.
You will fail. All the time.
You'll lose your temper over him spilling a cup and see his face turn sad and scared and you will feel like the greatest piece of shit on earth.
You'll kneel down and apologize like you've never done before.
And you'll keep going.
Because he doesn't need a perfect dad.
He YOU... and he will love you just because you're HIS DAD and all you have to do is SHOW UP.
Every time you show up, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU FAIL, you teach him that love is durable enough to fall and get back up.
There is no more useful thing you can give a child.
And maybe in a few more years you'll come back to this post.
And you'll realize that you were handed a person you get to know only for a little while and then have to let them go.
That's the deal.
Everything you do from here is aimed at him leaving you.
You'll teach him to walk so he can walk away from you. You'll teach him to drive so he can drive away from you.
Every skill you teach him is a small cut you make on the rope that ties you to him... and you will do it anyway.
Because you love HIM more than you love being NEEDED.
So, my friend... 12 days from now, a nurse is going to hand you your whole heart.
And from here on out brother, your heart will be with that child.
You will never be safe again.
...and you will NEVER ONCE wish to go back.
That's the trade. Every father in history has made that trade and none of us ever wished we had not.
All you have to do is show up. Keep coming back. Be there so consistently that he never has to wonder.
When they put him in your arms and the floor drops out from under you and everything you thought life was about flips...
...lean in
You're about to embark on the most incredible adventure of your life ❤️
