What’s better than one state title? Two!

Maroa Forsyth senior Klaire Eighner wins the 3200 meter by 26 seconds then picks up another win in the 1600 meter to help lead the Trojans’ to a 1A state title and earns the Heartland Credit Union “Lite of the Night”!

[Will Foley @thewillfoley]

The Eighner double! @mfhstrack’s 3200 champion does it again in the 1600. Two incredible runs today.

[Will Foley @thewillfoley]

From moments ago, your next State Champ of the day is another @mfhstrack Trojan. Klaire Eighner burns the blue track at 10:17.66 in the 3200 and wins by 27 seconds!

[MTFTrack @mfhstrack]

Klaire Eighner is your 3200 State Champion! Unbelievable performance. A 10:17.67

After a lot of thought, conversation, and prayer, I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Illinois College. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and thankful to Coach DeFrisco and Coach Guptel for believing in me and giving me a chance to play the game I love at the next level.

I want to thank God for the opportunities, strength, and guidance that made this possible, my family for their constant support, my coaches and teammates at Maroa-Forsyth for pushing me every day, and everyone who has helped along the way.

This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to get to work.

Go Blueboys! 🏈
