Let’s remember that during their so-called “peace rally” on 3 May 2023, forest offices along the route were reportedly burned down starting around 10:40 AM. Quite an unusual way of demonstrating a commitment to peace, conservation, and environmental protection.

As for the forested hills, the results of their so-called preservation efforts can be seen in the satellite images I am sharing here. The contrast between the rhetoric and the reality is difficult to ignore.

Perhaps the greatest threat to a forest is not always the axe, but the hypocrisy of those who claim to be its guardians while presiding over its destruction. History has recorded well.
