Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (#ADA), has expressed his willingness to support #Kraken in developing its layer-2 network. #Coinbase has introduced a new feature enabling users to verify their account and country credentials on the #Ethereum blockchain, enhancing app functionality and community engagement. This on-chain verification, launched on Nov. 9, acts as a "trusted badge," allowing users access to exclusive features on #Coinbase's Base network and in a private Discord channel. Soon, it will also facilitate gasless transactions and connections to various #DeFi platforms like Index Coop, Perennial, and Volmex.

As of late October, over 9,700 attestations have been issued to more than 6,200 unique users, as per #Dune Analytics. The verification, which can link to up to three self-custodial #Ethereum wallet addresses, is not transferable. While attesting to one's country of residence is optional, it may be required for accessing specific apps. #Coinbase assures that user information will remain private unless consent is given for on-chain publication.

To be eligible, users must have a #Coinbase account free from trading restrictions. The long-term goal is to allow third-party verifications and broaden verification methods. These verifications are conducted through the #Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS), a project also utilized by other platforms like #Optimism.
