Don’t you need the model-citizen immigrants who’d but only help you diversify the economy, vastly add to GDP output? What better than students, who first invest in the country, with their tuition fee ++, with their consumer spending that beats same age-group domestic cohorts?

I am 1000% sure the policy will see a turnaround in due time. But as that happens, you (aka Canada) might just lose favour to a host of other nations who are catching up fast on this, across Europe, Japan, Korea, etc etc.

The world is changing. The emerging world is changing even faster.
The new version of immigrants will choose lands & economies that welcome them, with a nice touch at that ..

I have been saying this for a long while to all the naysayers that Trump 2.0 is going to be very very different. He doesn’t need to be re-elected this time. He doesn’t need to appease to petty things. He is going to do what is best for business, best for the economy - simple and square!

No doubt the Airport retail market will be HUGE by the end of this decade. But I often wonder:

if category A malls > evolve into airport retail, why don’t category B/C malls > evolve into “rail retail”

Think platforms can definitely be further privatised, and there “does exist” an audience at the right price points, a significant # audience that does turn up an hour or before.

True Bharat opportunity. Waiting to be lapped up.

The video around a poor dog baby being beaten by a supposed-groomer has shook me. Keeps coming back to me every few hours, wherever I am, whatever I maybe at..

And I am writing this out because IT IS SICK that despite all the support shown, these not-fit-to-be-human ****** give a damn & are walking away free. We have such poor laws?! If anything, I know this has given me another mission in life ..

The second thing keeping me up, is the “doubt” this has placed deep inside, for maybe a very long time to come now..
Who do I really trust for my child?

* I am parent to a 3 year old GSD, Buzo, who is my world. Literally my world.
I end up supporting a variety of dog-causes, across a variety of organisations, every month. Selfishly, because I feel it earns good #karma and blessings for Buzo
… & who, I bathe myself (thank God for that!)

I have invested in two pet-care startups, had been evaluating/helping two others, and ‘m a customer for many brands in the space - across food, clothing, health, safety, etc etc 🐕
I “feel” for this industry. I have smiled at its rise. But now I am left wondering .. does everyone in here have their heart at the right place? I met a company years back (smart guy at that!) who at the end of the pitch said “mere liye toh yeh dhandha hai”, when I’d asked if they had a pet themselves. Couldn’t see myself investing in someone like that. The “why” is more clear today ..
But also, for a category like this, is it important to hire people, across lines, across functions, who themselves care about dogs and other animals as much if not more than humans?

Hope the sector attracts the right kind of builders. Across both for and non-profit.
