If that is an attacker in the box on the ball and a defender puts a tackle like that in it is a stone wall penalty.

He has control of the ball and is about to play it, he is tackled by a player coming in from behind who fails to play the ball and stops him playing the ball.

In real time I thought it was a fair challenge and he had just been muscled off the ball.

Watching it like that when the tackler doesn’t play the ball and then stops the player making contact with the ball it is a foul.

Saying he kicked Dessers is just daft. Ryan Kent got a bucket load of penalties kicking defenders using that logic.
