As a fan who has largely only witnessed mediocre Pistons team for 12 of my 14 years as a fan, teams that went all in (Blake Griffin) and teams that drafted poorly… sign me up for 4+ years with a core of a 24 year old MVP candidate, a 23 year-old DPOY candidate and a 22 year old All Star.
I’m more than happy with a team that wins 50+ games over a long span, that’s just me though.
I keep hearing this get regurgitated over and over and over about Cade nationally.
This idea that Cade is this horrible pull-up 3pt shooter ain’t true.
According to Synergy, Cade shot 34.7% on 3’s off the dribble this szn. This is higher % than:
-Jalen Brunson
-Donovan Mitchell
-Tyrese Maxey
-James Harden
-Derrick White
-Payton Pritchard
-Austin Reaves
He’s not Steph Curry, but the way they say “he usually can’t do this, wow!” you’d think he’s Ja Morant
Cade this postseason:
— 31.3 PPG
— 5.4 RPG
— 7.1 APG
— 1st in PTS
— 1st in AST (among remaining players)
— 1st in 4Q PTS
— 1st in 4Q AST
Top __ player this playoffs.
If not for OKC's existence, I think we'd talk more about Detroit as one of the best defenses this century.
They averaged the most stocks/game this century. They posted the #14 relative DRTG of the pxp era. They have freak athletes & dogs everywhere.
That quarter was special.
