Zyhir Hope was the 25th best prospect. So minus the 4 from the Dodgers plus 1 from Tigers, this leave 19 better than Hope that was not offer to Detroit.

Brewers, TB, NYY, Seattle all has better prospects but didn’t offer it to Detroit.

@BenVerlander My guess is that the Brewers and Rays were unwilling to offer up their top prospects. Once that hsppened Hope became the best prospect they could have gotten. Plus you add River, another top 100 prospect. Its difficult to beat that package

Tigers will try to bluff but i would stick with package of Hope + Sheehan + extra. If Brewers or TB beat that then good for them

@Mookie2Hell @nelson__espinal These are the top 100 ranking according to mlb. So Hope at 25 would be the highest ranked prospect available unless Brewers or TB go crazy and give up their best, which would mean that even if we give Sirota, it wouldn’t still be good enough.

@ChadMoriyama Just think its tough to evaluate him at the moment. Young guy in a tough allstar rotation (to start season) and you hear your name in trade rumors constantly. Once you lose your way, it’s tough to get back. He’s in a very pressured situation.

@dylanohernandez He is truly worth the money but i can see him being an issue down the road toward back of his contract . Very difficult to manage, as often GOATs are when they can no longer play up to their standard.

@GeorgeOnTap Brewers, a small market team, have the BEST prospect pool. The Dodgers have the 2nd best. The Brewers can outbid the Dodgers every single time. But if the Dodgers get Skubal, it means that the Brewers would rather play the long game than win now. How is this Dodgers issue?
