@SouthwestAir you never fail to NOT deliver. Every flight this year delayed due to your ignorance at boarding. Today we were 15 mins late from boarding - resulting in a 40 minute delay to take off. Arrival time is after when we will actually take off. You EXCEL at sucking
@SouthwestAir Still waiting on supposed improvements? A list preferred. Top fare purchase. Group 2 boarding. Understanding 50 plus people will board prior to me, there is no chance to be connected to my carry on in row 4. Why do you refuse to fix?
@mizzoucpa@SouthwestAir Funny - I’m A list preferred and paying top fare and can’t get even in that oversized group 1. I don’t think you can try and screw things up as much as @SouthwestAir has.
Dear @SouthwestAir,
Half empty flight out of DCA headed to OMA and can’t move to empty seat from row 2 to row 1. Blaming it on weight distribution doesn’t make any sense to me at all. #makeitmakesense
Hello @SouthwestAir ??
Two open seats across the aisle and the very nice gentlemen spilling into my seat asked if he could move. Your FA said “no, sorry”. Make it make sense? Also how about some compensation for half the seat I purchased?
Hey @SouthwestAir I paid EXTRA for preferred seat. The rest of my group didn't. They were in grp 2 for boarding. I was in grp 7! 😳 Then my seat backed up to exit row and DOESN'T recline. And I was dumb enough to pay for checked bags. Then carry-ons were checked free!🤬 Not OK!
Hey @SouthwestAir why is it that A-List Preferred and million point holder still automatically gets boarding Group 2 when seated in the first 5 rows of the plane? Your new system does NOTHING for your soon to be prior loyalist flyers with status. The new system is horrible.
.@SouthwestAir customers (especially if you are A-list or A-list preferred). Keep up the pressure on social media
Negative comments about the end of open seating have been trending on X (Twitter) for weeks.
I am sure @SouthwestAir is taking notice.
Southwest’s change is the death of the company.
I was a top .1% user for 5 years (literally flew so much I got companion pass in 2022).
The thing is, Southwest misunderstood what their actual moat was.
It wasn’t cheap flights though that worked.
It wasn’t no seat assignments, though that again was a positive as well.
Their moat was that they were the only airline that you could book a flight in 5 clicks if you had an account.
Because of the simplicity of their offering and the operation, you could avoid the confusing bullshit that you had to deal with with all other airlines—which tier, which seat, which status, which flight insurance, which bag fee…etc
They, the southwest leaders, confused their win as low cost—it wasn’t it was ease of use.
And it’s gone—now they’re just like everyone else, but they have no experience being like everyone else—so they’re actually not just like everyone else, they’re the worst of the rest.
I have booked 6 flights since the change that would have been a no brainer southwest for me in the past—each one I’ve booked Alaska.
Because now, Southwest is only competing on price and flight options.
I used to be happy to pick slightly worse flights for the simple fact that I had nothing to think about to accomplish it—now, I am forced to only judge them on the same things that all other airlines compete on.
And they’re gonna lose.
James Dyson famously said. “Be different, for the sake of it.”
We literally call it product differentiation.
Southwest was the only airline that was different—and they were the only airline that was profitable for 44 straight years (until COVID).
And they gave that advantage away on purpose—Herb Kelleher is rolling over in his grave.
Mark my words—in 5 years this is going to go down as the greatest fumble in modern corporate history—they don’t even have the excuse of failure to adapt to a new technology like Kodak or Xerox, they intentionally did this to themselves.
@SouthwestAir@KurtSenske I have experienced this 5 out 5 flights this year - have received the same response. I’ve read this same response over a thousand times online as well. So what is being done during this review of concerns you cite? Seems like nothing?
Hey @SouthwestAir. It now takes twice as long to board and to deplane. Bags are not near seats and it’s total chaos. Grab a seat and go was the thing that set you apart and above. From former A list #Southwest
@SorcererJim@SouthwestAir They don’t value status, or even folks who pay higher fares. They are a dumpster fire of an organization now. In 5 flights so far, every one has had significant issues. Without any action from them
@SouthwestAir flight 2560 - SFO to Las. Boarding group 2 passengers being 4-9 rows removed from their carry on. Caused boarding delayed (as expected). And will cause more issue upon landing (as expected)
@SouthwestAir At D3 in SFO. Gate agent just announced our plane is 8 minutes away. However. We are set to board in 6 minutes. He said he cannot change boarding time / departure time even though it’s obvious we are 30-40 minutes behind. Make that make sense?
@SouthwestAir what does one have to do as a long time A list preferred member plus paying full fare - to actually get boarding group 1? I continue to get group 2. And the process is pure trash every time.
