I don’t think people understand that some things change you permanently. There’s damage that an apology can’t undo and moments that permanently change the way you see someone. You can forgive someone without allowing them back into your life. Not everything deserves a second chance, no matter how sincere the apology is. Sometimes closure is accepting that what was broken was never meant to be rebuilt.
“you’re so distant” you literally made me feel like I wasn’t important to you. I didn’t become distant for no reason; I just stopped forcing closeness where I no longer felt valued.
