The Lagos State "seafood" market is poorly regulated. The hammerhead shark is a protected specie. They also have high levels of mercury and natural ammonia, which makes them toxic for human consumption.

We also have a Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, watching while unregulated fishing ruins our marine biology.

Under the Endangered Species Conservation and Protection Bill 2025, this guy should get a fine of 12m Naira or 10 years' imprisonment.
