On this day 250 years ago, our forefathers gathered for a national day of fasting and prayer. Today, Americans will come together again as one Nation under God.
This is who we are and who we’ve always been.
@atensnut@Chris_1791 Avid tennis player in Texas during the summer. Yes, I drink pickle juice before matches to prevent cramping. I’ve never had a cramp on the tennis court, including high 90’s temps.
@Bamaboy7825@danielburg96591@atensnut Not very Christian of you to judge me. I was simply saying the NT doesn’t tell you to tithe. BTW I’ve NEVER taken any help from government and I put myself through college while working. Show me in the NT that’s says to tithe. You need to read more because it doesn’t.
@Bamaboy7825@danielburg96591@atensnut I did not say anything about not donating. Tell me where in the NT it says to tithe. The NT is about giving from the heart, not tithing. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
@Bamaboy7825@danielburg96591@atensnut The New Testament does not state 10%. The OT does. Please quote the versus in the NT and it is not Matthew 23:23 / Luke 11:42 – Jesus mentions tithing, but in context, He’s criticizing the Pharisees for focusing on tithes while neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness.
Chuck Schumer wants ONLY four people to go into a smoke-filled back room — in private, behind the backs of the American people — to cut some shady deal.
That’s NOT how this works. I promised to end Congress’ bad habit of backroom, shadowy politics.
I REFUSE to cut secret deals that put the American people LAST. But that’s what Schumer has always done during his 44 years in Congress. The old way stops now.
Novak Djokovic: “I came from a war torn country. My dad put a ten dollar bill when I was 12 and said this is all we got. He said if you want to play this expensive sport you have to step it up. I had to mature much earlier than I was supposed to.”

BILL MAHER: “You cannot ever deny success … Have the humility to give it up for enormous success on any level … Trump, not my choice. Didn't vote for him … but I can't deny the success.”
Scott Jennings gets emotional on CNN as he reflects on witnessing President Trump bring peace to the Middle East.
“I mean, as an American, my heart couldn’t be more full.”
@ScottJenningsKY called Trump’s achievement the cornerstone of everything unfolding in the world right now.
And Americans can FINALLY feel pride in seeing the United States lead the world again.
“The United States of America today, and its president, Donald Trump is at the forefront of the most important thing going on in this world: the release of these hostages and the possibility of a standing peace in the Middle East, where there simply just hasn’t been any.”
“As an American, the fact that we’re leading this effort, that we’re leading this coalition, that the president was able to bring the Arab states together, to get Netanyahu and that relationship they have in line enough to pull this off—I mean, it makes my heart so full that this is the power of the United States of America.”
“This is what makes us the most unique country and the most important superpower in the world.”
This is why Johnny Carson is THE iconic late-night talk show host:
“Why do they think that just because you have a Tonight Show that you must deal in serious issues? It’s a danger. It’s a real danger. Once you start that, you start to get that self-important feeling that what you say has great import. And you know? Strangely enough, you could use that show as a forum. You could sway people. And I don’t think you should as an entertainer.”
@hol75979@lupowelllu@larabea90@againstgrmrs I’ve worked in a school district for 25 years and they fired her because she needed to be fired. It’s not easy to fire a Texas teacher because they are protected by a Chapter 21 contract in Tx. The board didn’t take the path of least resistance by terminating her contract.
