@b3arodactyl so it's progress in this type of device but very far from anything commercial. I also don't know if this type of fusion (inertial confinement fusion) scales, the little fusion I know is magnetic confinement fusion

@b3arodactyl I think the energy output of the fusion reaction exceeded the amount of energy that the lasers put into the plasma. It's a cool step but in practice these lasers still use up a lot more energy than was "generated", only a small fraction of the energy makes it into te plasma
