As the final whistle blew in the Stadium of Light, my thoughts turned to Uganda, where the beloved Omukama (King) Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukiidi IV (A staunch Arsenal fan) has been buried today .
We dedicate this 2-0 victory to the memory of King King Oyo,

Despite the tyranny of numbers that overwhelmed us, we declare that ours was not a numerical challenge but a moral challenge. We took up a fight everyone was cowering from and faced attacks from many quarters including from friends blinded by short term considerations. Many counseled me to throw in the towel fearing the outcome of the ballot. When the counting started, one MP told me that due to strict partisan voting I would be lucky to get ten votes. I put my seat on the line by telling him that if I got less than ten votes I would resign from Parliament. That aside, despite the opposition we faced, the fight was worthwhile. Thanks to the power of outrage fueled by many patriots, Parliament can breathe again. Our collective efforts brought a gush of fresh air in Parliament.
Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has said Arsenal must beat Manchester City at the Etihad if they want to become Premier League champions this season.
Neville was reacting to the Gunners’ 4-1 win at Tottenham on Sunday, which saw them re-establish a five-point lead at the top of the table.
Mikel Arteta’s men have, however, played one more game than City.
Arsenal will take on City in the final of the Carabao Cup on March 22, before they face off in the league on April 18.
Neville said on Sky Sports: “I have thought for a number of years when Arsenal have been going for this title that they’re going to have to go and win at the Etihad. That’s the only real way.
“The Carabao Cup final [on March 22] is a chance to send a message, because you’re playing directly against them and you can cause them some real pain by taking a medal from around the necks, but what you can do is go and beat them at their own place.”
Gooners, let's be honest. Gabi is in the top 5 best defenders in the world. But he was reckless and erratic until he had Saliba alongside him. Saliba unlocked Gabi. Saliba is the real diamond. Without him, Gabi would struggle. Together, they're incredible

When he doesn't talk policy—He doesn't know stuff…When he does—We don't want policy.
We want him to be rogue & chaotic.
When he leads protests—He’s sending our children to be killed!…When he doesn't —Did he sell out?
It must be a tough job being President @HEBobiwine in #Uganda

Very delighted today to preside over the official opening of the National Unity Platform Headquarters for Eastern Uganda, located in the heart of Iganga Town in Busoga Sub-region.
We purchased this land over a year ago, and started constructing our Headquarters. I am thankful that up until this morning, nobody except those who needed to know, got to know that it was us building in that place. No wonder, the police showed up asking why we chose to surprise them with a visit. Well, because if they had known, they would have done everything possible to frustrate us. I am very grateful to our leaders and officials who worked tirelessly towards this day.
The Regional Headquarters will coordinate our revolutionary activities in the entire region and be the center for coordination of our various efforts. This is testament to our commitment towards building a Party that will live beyond us!

Habibi, within the 10 months between April '23 and Jan '24, @ChrisObore1 alone received at least 1,930,000,000/= on his private account under the guise of "corporate social responsibility".
Perhaps not surprisingly, most of this money went to vague activities: 655,000,000/= "for CSR activities in Teso", 300,000,000/= "for CSR activities in Kumi", & a whole 250,000,000/= "for CSR in Kacumbala & Bukedea".
I'll be surprised to learn that someone actually receives this kind of money on their private bank account, and they withdraw it as a whole, and then take it for the activities in whole! By the way, I remember reading about a public service standing order that restrict money sent to civil servants accounts at just 5,000,000/=, those rules, it seems, do not apply to @AnitahAmong, her @Parliament_Ug, and of course people like @ChrisObore1.
