“One girl with a previously undiagnosed SLCN was being arrested on a daily basis for breaching bail conditions... Only when she was diagnosed did professionals realise that she simply could not understand the terms of her bail condition... overnight she stopped offending.”

A big week ahead.
This Thursday I will be speaking at an event in Parliament, hosted by MP, Saqib Bhatti and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. We will be highlighting issues for children who should be able to receive the specific speech therapy they need, and to raise awareness of CAS (Childhood Apraxia of Speech) & Verbal Dyspraxia. Our aim is to request more funding to recruit speech and language therapists to help the children and to also provide help in schools. We will be begging the government to provide more resources and support for families.
DLD Day is this Friday and we are so happy to announce that we will be lighting up the Millennium Bridge yellow and purple again this year. We hope to see many of your faces there to raise awareness of DLD, take part in a quiz (for a prize!) and hand out flyers! #DLDDay

I mentor a young lad with poor literacy skills who is starting a landscaping business. He struggles to communicate with clients in a professional manner.
I created a GPT3-powered Gmail account to which he sends a message. It responds with the text to send to the client.
