It’s been drizzling since morning & expected to rain in Karachi. The municipal services team of Karachi is mobilised and present on ground to tackle any given situation. Choking points have been cleared & machines and dewatering pumps are also standby. Will keep everyone posted. Thank you 🙏
Stones have been taken out of the drain at Jahangir Road by KMC municipal team. As one can see, the drain is clear and taking water at a fast speed inshallah will be cleared shortly
Visited the new Yusuf Goth Naala with Town & UC Chairperson. Because of the newly constructed Naala, despite heavy rain, the area of Yusuf Goth remained clear. Our teams are constantly on ground to serve the people of Karachi
Karachi witnessed record-breaking rains and yes, challenges remain. But instead of words, we are responding with work. From Nazimabad to North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Sohrab Goth, Gulshan-e-Memar and Gujjar Nullah, I inspected drainage and cleaning myself. All departments have been directed to speed up water drainage, deploy maximum machinery, and clear every underpass today. Critics may talk, but our answer is simple — this is our city, and we will serve it with action, not words.
District Central - major arteries & KMC roads are all clear. Our Naalaas have also performed well. While some people choose to talk, critisise & do photo ops, our team has silently focussed on the work and delivered 🙏
I was informed that there are some water logging issues around the area of Guru Mandir so visited the area. Guru Mandir was clear but there was water on Jahangir Road and KMC and KWSC teams were also present. Stones and ginny bags have been found and are being taken out by our team
Visiting different areas of the city. Video is from the flyover at Waterpump in Federal B Area and one can see that Shahrah e Pakistan and Shahrah e Augangzeb from the side of Rashid Minhas Road towards Shahrah e Sher Shah Soori is visibly clear and open for traffic
We are out and about on the roads. Due to the constant work, major arteries of the city are clear. Now we are focusing on the internal areas as well side kerbs so that traffic flow doesn’t get disturbed
Karachi faced record rain — over 200mm — and yes, challenges remain.
But our response is clear: work on the ground, not words.
Negativity will be answered with action.
This is our city, and together we will protect it and make it beautiful 😍
