Karam Anwar Al-Louh, a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, now lives with his wife and their two young children, 3-year-old son Anwar and infant daughter Amira, in a cramped tent that serves as their only shelter. Their family home was destroyed by Israeli bombardment on October 8, 2024, forcing them to flee with nothing beyond the clothes they were wearing, and they have since been displaced five times. They have no access to electricity or clean water, rely on soup kitchens for inconsistent meals, and cook over firewood whenever it is available. Karam has no regular employment but occasionally earns small amounts by carrying water for others, while his wife, still recovering from Amira's birth, lacks medical care, and the infant requires milk and basic supplies. Through a fundraising effort, the family is seeking support for essential needs including better shelter, food, clean water, and medicine to help them regain some stability and care for their children.
